Waves of water and wind
Down a beach so thin..
High up in the trees
A silent hoo can be heard...
Swiftly Carried away by the breeze.
I was left with only one clue...
Up up and away…
A
This was one of the moments where I felt like the birds were calling to me or perhaps more like whispering? In this case this owl only made one single silent hoot and at that moment if I even stepped forward I wouldn't have been able to hear the hoot and wouldn’t have known it was there at all.
Anyways so After hearing the hoot I slowly walked up a path leading to the top of hill where with a bit of walking I eventually reached a spot where I could look down the ridge. After scanning The hillside I eventually heard the hoot one more time and was directed towards a big tree cracked in half. Repositioning myself once more I slowly made my way behind a tree at an angle where I could now see these two owlets high up in their kingdom.
Although At the moment I didn't have my camera with me at the time so I had to come back another day which worked out perfect as the lighting the next day was softer and more cloudy creating a more balanced light on the nest without the harsh shadows of the sun.
After waiting around 2 hours near sunset eventually the little owlets started waking up and stretching their wings as well as preening and starting to call for momma to bring them food.
I believe these owlets are about 15-20 days old what do you think?

An intimate moment between a Roufous hummingbird mother feeding it’s young fledging.
While I was out on a walk I heard this sharp chirp every few seconds and so wondering what Was making the sound I slowly got closer to it until eventually I saw this little hummer. He was sitting on this branch making this sound constantly crying for food. I then waited by the branch and eventually the mother came back to feed him letting me capture this moment between the two as she feeds it in a much more gentle way then when In the nest or so it looks like.
