Discovered a bit of Whitehorse by myself this evening, while two wandered in the mountains on bikes and one practiced for the parade tomorrow.

We went on a mini getaway journey a couple of weeks ago. We found the mountains and they were covered in snow. ❤️

Out for an evening stroll and the beautiful frosted trees caught my eye.

It’s all about being in the right place at the right time, with the right equipment, and this time I was in the right place however my timing was off and I didn’t have my camera. 😭

Driving down highway 19, when off to the side there was your standard deer that didn’t make it across the highway. The pack of crows perched on the mound pointed it out to us. As we drove past, a Bald Eagle sitting on the top of the kill, ruling the roost caught our eye.

TURN AROUND! I yelled. 🤣 My son in the back telling me we can’t or he’ll be late for work. The excitment in me won though but sadly the eagle flew away when a large truck blew by. These are the moments that you need to have the time to SIT and WATCH! Sadly time was not on my side today.

I love to hike, and can often be found in the river valley walking our little chocolate moose. There are times when I look around and see the perfect landscape for a family photo shoot. This was the outcome of one of those times. While out for a walk one day, I saw the piles of leaves, the bridges, the paths, and 4 large stumps of trees, just waiting for a family such as this.
