Fairbridge Chapel

On Sunday one of our Chapel Society Board members was part of the Rotary Club Garden Show. There were over 400 tickets sold for the event, plus we had a wedding at the chapel just two doors down, with 85 guests. It was a lot of traffic and parking for our little community, and thank you so much to the greeters/parking volunteers who made it all run incredibly smoothly! A couple of them pictured here, along with the garden.

Yesterday we hosted the third beautiful wedding over the course of the last three weekends at Fairbridge Chapel. It’s been a wonderful wedding season so far this year. If you’re looking for a gorgeous historic church for your special day, get in touch!

The 2026 National Youth Choir of Canada meets in person for the first time in just over a week, kicking off their rehearsal residency at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby Campus! From there, the choir will tour the province with stops in Burnaby, Abbotsford, Courtenay, Parksville, and Duncan, concluding in Victoria with a featured performance at Podium: Choral Conference & Festival / Congrès et festival choral.

This year’s ensemble is led by Guest Conductor Dr. Julia Davids, Apprentice Conductor Matthew Boutda, Collaborative Pianist Alex Chen, and Tour Manager Adam Skinner. The 2026 program explores the expressive power of the human voice and includes the world premiere of a newly commissioned work by acclaimed BC composer Katerina Gimon.
