Automated Traffic Enforcement Defence Tactics - Photo Radar Tickets

Recently I posted in the group about beating a Red Light Camera Ticket In Stony Plain Provincial Court. Well the story doesn't end there. I am not saying that we don't need Photo Radar. We just need Photo Radar to be where it needs to be like Playgrounds and School Yards.
So I took it upon myself to dig deeper into the hole known as Photo Radar and here is what I found out in detail.

Photo Radar in rural communities is handled by a company call Global Traffic Group with their Head Office hidden in the back of a dimly lit hallway at 104 Columbia Ave. There are no signs marking the offices. They're location is almost secretive. When I went on October 10th I called them from Devon and said I need to speak to one of their managers. Specifically Larry Bellows. He is a Manager and a former RCMP Officer with 30 years of work history in Traffic. The company was started by a guy named David Steer about 10 years ago and they now do Photo Enforcement for 20 Municipalities throughout Canada. The company's "Cut" is around 40% of every Ticket you pay voluntarily. So 40% goes to Global Traffic Group (private company) and the balance goes to the Provincial Government.

I then called the Provincial Government and asked to speak to the Minister Of Justice, Doug Schweitzer. I was greeted by a friendly Secretary who told me that Doug Schweitzer is rarely The Government House and she put me in touch with someone from Infrastructure. I got a voice mail and left a message for him to call me.

A day passed and my voice message was returned. I expressed my concerns about Improper Use of Automated Traffic Enforcement Technology in Rural and Urban areas of our Province.

I was told that the Provincial Government is aware of the misuse of the Technology and they "need" people to complain so that they can take action against Global Traffic Group and The City Of Edmonton.
You know those vans you see when you are driving into Edmonton parked on the bridges? The bridges are considered by the Provincial Government to fall under the classification of a Hiway and it's "Illegal" to set up Photo Radar on any of Alberta's Hiways. You know the Photo Radar Vans that park on private property as was my court case. Illegal. So let me sum it up. PHOTO RADAR ENFORCEMENT RULES as laid out by The Provincial Government are "Being Broken" and they are PI**ED OFF!

So what they need is enough evidence from you, the Tax Payer, to haul in David Steer of Global Traffic Group and Don Iveson the Mayor of Edmonton and slap their hands and potentially force them to SHUT DOWN PHOTO ENFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGY completely.

I am dead serious people when I say this!

So What Can YOU do to put back Sense into the NONSENCE that is going on with Photo Radar. Send an email to the Minister Of Justice, Doug Schweitzer.

All you need to say is why are there Photo Radar Trucks parked on top of the bridges leading into Edmonton and why are the Photo Radar Operations conducted by Global Traffic Group being set up in locations that clearly don't need to be enforced.

So I can't do this alone. I need as many people as possible to contact the ministryofjustice.gov.ab.ca and file a complaint. You can help by sharing this post with ALL of your friends and they in turn send it to all of there friends and so on, and so on.

I'm not saying we need to abolish Photo Radar. I'm saying that it is being misused in order to create Financial Gain; something that is Highly Illegal!
