Introducing to our menu - Kashmiri chai 🌸

Kashmiri chai, or noon chai, is a savoury tea originating from the Kashmir region. It's smooth, silky, and spiced, with a beautiful pink color to complement its flavors.

Originally, Kashmiri chai is consumed with salt, but in Karachi, where I'm from - it's laden with sugar and dried nuts. For me personally, Kashmiri chai is the epitome of winter nostalgia. Going on drives with my family, and stopping at roadside stalls for a hot cup of chai is one of my favorite memories.. And after moving to Canada, I used to seek out this comfort, but wasn't happy with what was offered. So after a few years of constant trial and error, I have finally managed to produce a product that takes me back to those winter days.

Our Kashmiri chai is brewed for 3-4 hours, with 20-25 minutes of "phaita lagana", which helps the tea become not only super flavourful and rich, but also helps develop the rose pink color we all know and love.

Our Kashmiri chai is available in kahwa form, unsweetened. You can add salt, or sugar, or whatever floats your boat. We also offer freshly ground pistachios and almonds as an accompaniment. (We do believe the nuts are mandatory, but you do you!)

Kahwa that makes 5-7 cups of chai for $17.90 (Addition of ground nuts: $3)
Kahwa that makes 10-12 cups of chai for $30 (Addition of ground nuts: $5)

The kahwa keeps really well in the fridge for 2+ weeks :)
