But I get it , even when you know all this, it can feel hard to reduce UPFs and that’s intentional.

🧠 These companies use the sciences of food technology, biology psychology and clever marketing tactics to make sure you want what they have to sell.

But here’s the good news… It might feel difficult but its certainly possible. Try these 3 tactics to make it feel easier:

1️⃣ Read your labels BEFORE you buy an item. If it isn’t in your house… you can’t eat it 😉 If you can’t pronounce an ingredient, or there are more than 5 ingredients… its probably not the healthiest option.

2️⃣ Slowly make healthy swaps rather than trying to go cold turkey. Choose 1-2 regularly consumed items each week and find a healthier, non-processed alternative. Within a few months your diet will be transformed!

3️⃣ The most important. #CutTheBS with yourself… You don’t ‘need’ these foods. They are NOT a ‘treat’. You don’t need to have them in the house for the kids (in fact you’re doing your kids a disservice if you do!). The sooner you start to switch up your mindset and let go of the FOMO, the easier this will be.
