4. Focus on Teaching Instead of Selling.

One of the most effective ways to provide value to your prospects and customers is to help educate them on a topic of interest.

When you take an education-first approach, you become their go-to resource for information which helps you build trust and rapport.

Once trust is established and the prospect is ready to buy, your offering is far more appealing because you have already demonstrated value instead of pushing the sale without any proof of value for the buyer.

Lets look at an example:👇

If you work in software sales, instead of running through a recycled sales pitch with a prospect, it is best to FIRST contact them asking what their top three challenges are. Then, during your meeting, instead of talking at them with a presentation, you can walk them through possible solutions they could take to solve their challenges in an informative, and engaging way.

99% of prospects/customers are more willing to buy from you when are able to come off knowledgeable and provide solutions rather than using forceful, desperate, or boring sales pitches that offer no immediate value. 😉

Key Principles of Value-Based Selling

1. Do Your Homework:

Remember, the goal of value-based selling is to close the sale by putting the needs of your customer first. With that in mind, you cannot put your prospect’s needs first if you do not know what those needs are. Always do your homework to understand your product and how it can be beneficial in the current market.

Great words of wisdom here!

When you do MORE than you're paid for, eventually you will get paid for more than you do. This is a basic truth that applies to Business, Sales, and everything you do in life.

Whatever your endeavor, always provide MORE service than you get paid for and you will develop a reputation that will separate you from the rest! 😉

Did you know that Anacott Prime NEVER STOPPED hiring during the pandemic, and have one of the HIGHEST RETENTION RATES in the sales and marketing industry!?

Here are our top 3 areas we focus on which help us boost employees’ job satisfaction and hold onto our valued workers. Take a peek for helpful insights on how to help with your retention. 👇

1. Onboarding and orientation — Every new hire should be set up for success from the start. Your onboarding process should teach new staff not only about the job but also the company culture and how they can contribute to and thrive in it. Don’t skimp on this critical first step: The training and support you provide from Day One, whether in person or virtually, can set the tone for the employee’s entire tenure at your firm.

2. Mentorship programs — Pairing a new employee with a mentor (manager) is a great component to add to your extended onboarding process. Mentors can welcome newcomers into the company, offer guidance and be a sounding board. And it’s a win-win: new team members learn the ropes from experienced employees, and, in return, they offer a fresh viewpoint to their mentors.

3. Sense of Community — It’s essential for companies to work hard on building a fun, safe, and family feel environment for their staff. When employees feel close to their peers and management team, they want to work harder for you. At Anacott Prime, we ensure that each month we treat our staff to entertaining activities such as bowling, escape rooms, or wing nights. These events typically happen when a new employee starts. We call it “MEET THE TEAM” NIGHT! How great is it to be welcomed into your work community with something fun to do? When you provide this type of environment occasionally for your staff, they feel appreciated and additionally, it is a second form of compensation. 😉
