Scientists studying cephalopod cognition say octopuses already possess remarkable intelligence, tool use, problem-solving ability and adaptability across diverse ocean environments, traits that could theoretically support complex civilisation-building given millions of years of evolution. They can open jars, navigate mazes, recognise individual humans and escape sealed tanks. The major obstacle, researchers say, is that octopuses are almost entirely solitary creatures and would need to evolve cooperative social behaviour and cultural transmission before anything resembling civilisation could emerge. It is a thought experiment grounded in real evolutionary biology.

Scientists just teleported quantum information between two separate devices. 🤯⚛️

This process is called Quantum Teleportation, but it does not involve physically moving matter from one place to another.

Instead:
• The quantum state of one particle is transferred to another
• Using a phenomenon known as quantum entanglement

💡 What researchers achieved

In the experiment, scientists transferred the polarization state of a photon between two different quantum dots — tiny semiconductor systems capable of producing single particles of light.

The setup included:
• A 270-meter (886-foot) open-air connection between buildings
• Additional optical fiber links connecting the devices

📊 How accurate was it?

The experiment reached a fidelity of about:

• 82 ± 1%

This exceeded the “classical limit,” meaning the quantum information was preserved better than would be possible using ordinary classical communication alone.

🌌 Why this matters

Quantum teleportation could become a key technology for:

• Ultra-secure communication
• Quantum internet systems
• Connecting future quantum computers over long distances

✨ Simple takeaway:
Scientists have moved quantum information between distant quantum devices — bringing future quantum networks a step closer to reality.

The most powerful endings in the universe create black holes. ⚫🌌

Not all stars end their lives quietly. The most massive ones collapse in a dramatic process that can create a black hole.

⭐ Life of a massive star

• Begins by burning hydrogen into helium
• Produces energy that balances gravity
• Shines steadily for millions of years

🔥 Fusion of heavier elements

• Starts fusing helium, carbon, and heavier elements
• Each stage happens faster than the last
• Builds layers like an onion inside the star

🧱 Iron core forms

• Fusion creates iron in the core
• Iron cannot produce energy through fusion
• Energy production suddenly stops

⚡ Core collapse

• Gravity takes over instantly
• Core collapses in less than a second
• Temperatures and pressure spike dramatically

💥 Supernova explosion

• Outer layers rebound and explode outward
• One of the most powerful events in the universe
• Can briefly outshine an entire galaxy

⚫ Black hole birth

• If the core is massive enough, it keeps collapsing
• Gravity becomes so strong that not even light can escape
• A black hole is formed

✨ Simple takeaway:
A black hole is born when a massive star runs out of fuel, collapses, and its gravity takes over completely.

»Much of what is being said about the developments in the Strait of Hormuz—freedom of navigation under international law, the sovereign right to military contracts, the American military presence in the region, the role of the UN Security Council and the United Nations in maintaining global peace and security, and so much more—has little to do with the reality created by the war the United States and Israel waged on Iran.

All of this is discussed as if no war ever happened. As if no political leadership was assassinated. No infrastructure was destroyed. No children were slaughtered. As if international law stops functioning when violated by Israel and the United States—only to spring back into action against those who dare stand in their way.

The world after this war is not what it was before. Two illegal wars were forced upon Iran, following the mass killings in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen. And the only thing that deterred the aggressor—or ever could—was force, not international law. The war has exposed the true extent of American power. And that, ironically, is the greatest gain for everyone who has suffered from it and from its ally, Israel.

As for the Strait of Hormuz, Iran secured it for decades without conditions or restrictions. But once it was used by its enemies, Iran gained every right to defend itself and prevent its enemies from using it again. The way forward is clear: a coordination mechanism to prevent the aggressor’s equipment and forces from entering without oversight. Such coordination harms no one in the region.

But when some choose to align themselves with the United States and Israel, in any shape or form, it only complicates regional relations. And that is exactly what the two aggressors want. They know full well that the situation in Hormuz will never return to what it was—meaning, never again without Iranian oversight.«

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said he raised the point of reopening the Strait of Hormuz in a Nato-affiliated meeting today in Sweden.

“We have to have a Plan B for it if someone is shooting that how do you reopen the straits. So I made that point today. I don’t know if that’ll be a Nato mission necessarily, but it will certainly be Nato countries that can contribute to it,” he said while speaking to the media.

Rubio said the US could act if Iran refused to open the Strait of Hormuz, but “there are countries that have expressed an interest in potentially being a part of something like that”.

“We don’t need their help but they’re willing to do it,” he asserted."

🚨Breaking
China has formally rej€cted U.S. $anctions targeting its oil companies over Iranian oil purchases.

China’s Ministry of Commerce issued an order stating that U.S. $anctions on at least five Chinese refineries “shall not be recognised, implemented, or complied with.” This is part of China’s first use of a legal “blocking rule” designed to protect domestic firms from foreign $anctions.

It is now between China and US

Let’s see who will blink first.
