Iconoclast Coffee Roasters () is an ultra-cozy café with great burgers, brunch, and neighbourhood vibes in the Oliver Exchange building in Wîhkwêntôwin.

It’s a longtime local gem...stay for all the plants and the chess games too!

The owners also run Lovesong Bistro (.farm) in the same complex, so you can go from daytime to nighttime while only walking a few steps.

We’re on a bookstore roll! Audrey’s Books () is Edmonton’s oldest independent bookstore, around since 1975 and serving up new books in a fifty year old space on Jasper Ave chock full of literary history.

• This is the OG Edmonton indie bookstore and it had its start from writer Mel Hurtig. Fun fact: the bookstore’s name comes from not one but two Audreys who were involved in buying the bookshop from Hurtig. Don’t miss the staff picks shelf!

• Once you’re done with your book browsing, pop in to the Commodore restaurant (.restaurant) next door for a greasy spoon breakfast - it’s a classic and probably Edmonton’s oldest diner.
