Two big reasons to get out and cheer this July — Alberta's young riders are taking over the province for a huge weekend of racing!
Alberta Summer Games Mountain Bike | July 17–19 | Strathcona County
The province's best young cross-country riders, representing all 8 zones in an Olympic-style competition with an opening ceremony and athletes' village. U13 and U15 athletes will battle across three days:
📅 Friday, July 17 — Practice Day & Short Track (XCC)
📅 Saturday, July 18 — Cross Country (XCO)
📅 Sunday, July 19 — Team Relay
For many of these riders, this is the first step on the pathway toward national and World Cup racing.
🏁 Alberta BMX Provincial 3 & 4 | July 18–19 | Lethbridge
Round 3 and Round 4 of the 2026 Alberta BMX Provincial Cup series hit the Lethbridge track for two full days of gate-dropping action. Riders across every class — Challenge, Devo, Masters, Junior, U23 and Elite — will be chasing series points, with racing both days at 10:15 AM.
From the XC trails of Strathcona County to the BMX gates in Lethbridge, there's a spot for every kind of racing fan this weekend. Which one will we see you at? 👇 Let us know in the comments!
