We are proud to introduce our Red Deer Taboo Show NGO Partner — HIV Edmonton ❤️

Founded in 1984 at the height of the HIV crisis, HIV Edmonton is a community-based charitable organization working to improve the lives of people living with, affected by, or at risk of HIV through education, advocacy, and community support.

Through prevention education, outreach, rapid testing initiatives, harm reduction programming, and the distribution of safer s*x supplies, the organization promotes informed and empowered s*xual health choices while advancing health equity and working to eliminate stigma.

Guided by the message U=U (Undetectable Equals Untransmittable), HIV Edmonton continues to promote accurate information, compassion, and s*x-positive approaches that help build healthier and more informed communities.

Come by their booth and learn more. ❤️

📣Calling all Edmonton Restaurants!

Be a part of something meaningful (and delicious). A Taste For Life is back on April 15, bringing communities together across the country to support people living with and affected by HIV.

Here’s how it works: restaurants partner with HIV Edmonton to host A Taste For Life, and in return receive benefits that generate positive impressions of your restaurant.

It’s a simple way to:
Fill your tables;
Gain exposure;
Make a real impact in your community.

It’s Zero Discrimination today, a day to stand for equality.

In Canada, although significant progress has been made in terms of HIV/AIDS awareness and treatment, stigma and discrimination still persists. For many people living with HIV, discrimination remains a daily reality. It can influence whether someone feels safe accessing healthcare, supported in their workplace, or accepted in their community. These barriers impact mental health, treatment adherence, and overall quality of life.

Zero Discrimination Day reminds us that health equity is inseparable from human rights. Ending HIV requires more than medical advancements. It requires dismantling stigma, advancing human rights, and ensuring equitable access to care and support for all people living with HIV.

A future free from HIV-related discrimination is possible, but it requires collective action.

Today, we recommit to building a community grounded in dignity, respect, and compassion for all.
