Update: Due to unforeseen weather circumstances and considering school division procedures, the school has decided to cancel the School Street activities scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, from 7:30–8:30 AM and 2:30–3:30 PM. At this time, we are still hopeful conditions will improve for School Streets on June 4, 2026.

It's School Streets Week!

We're so excited to kick off our first School Streets initiative at St. Leo Catholic Elementary School in Edmonton this week. Friendly reminder that School Streets is a National Active School Streets Initiative (NASSI) that uses a temporary road closure in front of the school to create a safer, more welcoming space for students and families while reducing traffic congestion.⁠

Thanks to Green Communities Canada and Centre d'écologie urbaine for their delivery and partnership in this project!

We are excited to share that St. Leo Catholic Elementary School is partnering with Ever Active through the National Active School Streets Initiative (NASSI) to bring a School Street to our community!
