Is life in Alberta feeling particularly heavy lately?
Are you a marginalized human struggling to hold the physical, mental, and emotional weight of it all?
Do you question whether you're strong enough to survive an ideological government that seems intent on your extinction?
Then this new program is for you.
Introducing:
🌍 The Weight of the World, a program specifically designed for Albertans forced to shoulder the load of systemic oppression.
No need to register.
If you're in Alberta, you're already enrolled.
Highlights include:
• Human rights debates that shouldn’t be debates
• Access that depends on how hard you fight for it
• Entire communities carrying more than their share of stress and fear
It's kind of like progressive overload, but let's just call it what it is:
Survival.
There's no need to register.
If you're in Alberta, you're automatically enrolled.
If it feels heavy, that's cause it is.
The good(ish) news?
You don't have to do it alone. We'll be here to help you carry the weight, and make the hard days feel a little lighter.
Yes, this is an April Fools joke.
Sort of.
But the support here is real.
We're all in this together.
So let's share the load.

Visibility should feel safe.
For a lot of Trans people, it doesn’t.
In today's sociopolitical climate, being seen without protection doesn’t always feel like empowerment.
It feels like exposure.
It feels like risk.
It feels like navigating systems, spaces, and conversations that were never built with you in mind.
As an openly Trans-led organization, we know these feelings all too well.
We live them every day.
So today isn’t just about celebrating visibility.
It’s about asking what we - as a society - are actually doing with it.
Because visibility without action changes very little.
If you are an ally, THIS is your moment.
THIS is your call to action.
Today (and every day), as we bring our visibility to the forefront, carrying all the risks that accompany it, we need you to meet us there.
We do not need more passive support.
We need visible, active, accountable allyship.
That means speaking up in rooms where Trans people are NOT present
That means challenging policies, language, and systems that create harm.
That means making your support known, not assumed.
That means taking on some of the risk, not leaving it to those already carrying it.
Trans people have always been visible. The question is who has been standing beside them.
Right now, ALLY visibility matters just as much, if not more.
Be clear about where you stand. Be loud about it. Be consistent about it.
Visibility should feel safe. Let’s build the conditions that make that true.
