This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Kitikmeot Trade Show, a powerful milestone for northern business and community partnership.

BBE is proud of our long-standing history in the region and our joint venture partnership with KBX, helping connect southern industry to Kitikmeot communities with local participation and long-term relationships at the forefront.

Together, we’ve supported mining, energy, infrastructure, and essential services across the Kitikmeot region not just moving freight, but enabling opportunity.

The Kitikmeot Trade Show has played a vital role in bringing industry, Indigenous leadership, and businesses together for 25 years. Our CEO, Heather Stewart and COO, Jacob Grzywacz were proud to attend the event in Cambridge Bay alongside our partners, clients, and communities as this legacy continues.

BBE Strengthens Canada’s Defence and Arctic Supply Chains with Launch of Licensed Customs Brokerage - BBE 02/17/2026

BBE is now a licensed Canadian Customs Broker!

For companies importing and exporting freight, customs is often where complexity and risk concentrates. That’s why we’ve taken the next step in strengthening our international capabilities.

By integrating licensed customs brokerage directly with our International Freight Forwarding services, BBE now delivers a more streamlined, accountable approach to global logistics:
• Freight and customs managed together
• Fewer handoffs and fewer points of failure
• Reduced compliance risk at the border
• One experienced partner, one point of contact, one invoice

This milestone builds on BBE’s roots dating back to 1977 and reflects our continued focus on supporting complex, regulated, and time-critical supply chains across Canada and beyond.

This photo was taken yesterday on our Inuvik → Tuktoyaktuk mail run, capturing the iconic Pingos rising out of the tundra just outside Tuktoyaktuk. These ancient ice-cored hills are part of the Pingo Canadian Landmark, found nowhere else in the world at this scale.

This isn’t just a photo op, it’s a daily reality for us at BBE.

Every morning:
One van runs north from Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk
Another runs south to Fort McPherson and Tsiigehtchic

Mail, freight, essentials are delivered on schedule, regardless of cold, distance, or isolation.

Northern logistics is more than routes on a map. It’s the consistency, local knowledge, and showing up every day for the communities that depend on it.

BBE was proud to be on campus today participating in the MacEwan University Career Fair, connecting with students interested in building meaningful careers in supply chain, freight forwarding, and warehousing.

Members of our HR, freight forwarding and warehouse operations teams were on hand to answer questions, share real-world experience, and talk honestly about what it’s like to work in a fast-moving, purpose-driven logistics and supply chain environment.

At BBE, we lean heavy into technology and also believe supply chains are powered by people. From the first job to long-term career growth, we’re committed to developing talent, supporting curiosity, and building teams that keep critical goods moving reliably and responsibly.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us today. We’re excited about the next generation of supply chain professionals!
