✨Meet Elvira – Your delightfully mysterious queen of the night 🖤

Name: Elvira
Birthday: July 11, 2022
S*x: Female
Breed: Midnight Manor Enchantress

Don’t let the flowing black coat and dramatic good looks fool you, this leading lady is much more sweetheart than spooky. Straight from the “Mistress of the Dark” playbook, Elvira has mastered the art of making an entrance, but behind that glamorous exterior is a friendly, affectionate cat who simply wants a cozy home to rule.

Elvira is waiting patiently at Pet Valu Rabbit Hill for her forever family.

Like any true gothic icon, Elvira brings elegance wherever she goes. Her luxurious long black fur, gentle personality, and calm confidence make her impossible to forget. Whether she’s quietly watching the world from her favourite perch or accepting well-earned pets from her admirers, she’s happiest when she’s close to her people.

Elvira would likely do well with other respectful cats and cat-savvy dogs given slow, proper introductions. She’s ready to trade haunted mansions for sunny windowsills, spooky stories for cozy naps, and become the enchanting star of your home.

Likes: Gentle attention, cozy naps, watching the world from a comfy spot, being admired for her beautiful coat
Dislikes: None discovered so far!

Good with dogs? Yes, with slow, proper introductions.
Good with kids? Yes, respectful children who understand gentle handling.
Good with cats? Yes, she would likely do well with other friendly cats after slow introductions.

🐾 ❤️Two years. Over 730 days in foster care. Watching other dogs find families while they get left behind.

When their owner suddenly passed, their world collapsed. The only thing they had left was each other. But because they’re a bonded pair, they’ve been completely overlooked.

They aren’t double the trouble…they are the sweetest souls, and they are double the love. They survived the ultimate heartbreak together. Now, they deserve a happily ever after.

We are posting them every week in hopes of finding their perfect people. Maybe that’ll be you?

Introducing Chad: The Professional Couch Potato 🛋️💤

Name: Chad
Birthday: April 2021
S*x: Male
Breed: Deluxe Snuggler™
Weight: 96 lbs

Chad is basically what would happen if someone turned a weighted blanket into a dog. This gentle boy has mastered the art of relaxing and takes his career as a Professional Napper very seriously. Barking dogs? Screaming kids? Chaos in the house? Chad says, “Sounds like a great time for another snooze.”

This lovable lug wants nothing more than to be wherever his people are — preferably directly in the middle of the floor where everyone has to carefully step over him like a furry speed bump. He’s calm, patient, unbelievably gentle, and so laid back it’s honestly impressive. Chad has only barked twice the entire time in foster care, and both occasions were probably very important announcements about snack time.

He absolutely lives for treats, belly rubs, and quality lounging sessions. He’s a perfect gentleman on leash walks, knows how to shake a paw like the polite prince he is, and has the sweetest soul. While he gets along wonderfully with dogs, kids, and cats, he may occasionally remind a rude cat that he is, in fact, the king of the living room. (To be fair, foster mom says the cat usually starts it.)

Chad would thrive in a home where he has company most of the time. He doesn’t love being alone, he’d much rather spend his day supervising your activities while horizontally sprawled across the floor nearby. If you’ve been searching for a calm, goofy, affectionate best friend who asks for very little besides snacks and belly rubs, Chad may just be your soulmate in dog form.

Likes: Treats, napping, belly rubs, lounging near his people, snacks

Dislikes: Being alone too long, rude cats

Good with dogs? Yes with smaller dogs and slow introductions
Good with cats? Yes, as long as they’re friendly
Good with kids? Yes

We've seen so many comments, questions, and concerns about Asher over the past few days. ❤️

First of all, thank you. It means the world to us that so many people care about him.

We wanted to make this video to provide some context, clear up a few misconceptions, and answer some of the questions we've been seeing most often.

Asher's story isn't over. While we're hopeful about a potential foster placement, we're continuing to accept foster applications because we've learned that having a backup plan can make all the difference. And if Asher's placement works out, we have other deserving dogs waiting for foster homes too.

If you'd like to help, here's how: 🐾 Apply to foster. 📲 Share Asher's story. 💙 Make a donation to help us continue caring for dogs like Asher.

Every share, application, and donation helps us give animals the second chance they deserve. Thank you for being part of Asher's journey. ❤️
