Cultural meals can be prepared in healthy fashion.
There's a lot you can do with what you have.
🔥 We had an incredible day at Voices for Change — a day filled with learning, connecting, and breaking barriers through food, culture, and conversation! 🍲🗣️
One standout moment came from one of our thoughtful attendees, who said: “Cooking isn’t just a woman’s job—everyone should know how to cook.” 💪🍳
He highlighted how lucky we are to have access to tools, technology, and tutorials that make learning to cook easier than ever—unlike in our fathers' generation. And he’s absolutely right: cooking is a life skill, not a gender role.
👨🏽‍🍳 At Voices for Change, we laughed, we learned, we cooked, and we shared. This is the spirit of inclusive advocacy—celebrating cultural food knowledge as a tool for equity, empowerment, and togetherness. 💛
Let’s keep challenging outdated norms and building a world where everyone feels seen, fed, and valued—in and out of the kitchen.

Our Story
TCLI Foundation was founded seven years ago in Nigeria. It is built on the belief that, through literacy societal issues can be tackled. In Canada, it focuses on women and children living in poverty (lower income, and those needing this information ) to provide the tools and knowledge they need to make better decisions and help lift themselves out of poverty.
Since our first event in 2013, the TCLI Foundation has mentored thousands of students, giving them the wisdom through literacy in pressing social issues like poor education in Nigeria to provide them with the tools to make important life decisions and eliminate poverty for the future generations while also building their confidence and level of awareness.
And so we launched TCLI Foundation in Canada to empower Canadians in their finances and health with the right education.
Our mission is to eliminate poverty globally. We will do this by providing financial literacy education to youth and women living in poverty.
