We’re not here to paint a rosy picture of our lives. Rather, show you something that may help you. But let me back up…
Larry went away to work while I was pregnant with our youngest, nearly 9 years ago. Part of this was due to the income he could make. We all know the cost of living is always increasing.
We had large bills to pay due to being left holding the bag on a few joint venture investment properties that were going sideways. We overcame that and started moving forward with our home renovation. Then the recession of 2014/15 hit. We are so thankful Larry kept his job, but working conditions weren’t great for him and morale onsite was, and continues to be, terrible. Oh ya, let’s not forget the side effect of the downturn. We were walking on eggs shells always worrying if his current turnaround would be the last. Meanwhile I stayed home with our girls – something I am truly grateful being able to do. During this time Larry missed out on the day-to-day, school concerts, karate classes and family gatherings.
In the meantime we looked for things online that could help with bringing in extra. Needless to say we found a number of them, but lost more money than we made. And, like many, still dealing with the fallout from the downturn.
Fast forward a year or two. Larry came across this opportunity that showed you how to start and run an online business. Ya right, we thought! We were certain it was yet another one of those online things where we’d spent so much time and effort getting it off the ground only to realize we would lose more than we made and only made those in high ranking positions successful. We were completely skeptical but watched the workshop. Still being skeptical we got involved to prove it wasn’t doable. Boy, were we wrong! In the year we sat on the fence watching we, saw people (everyday Joe’s and Jane’s) not only do well, but fire their boss, get out of financial issues, remove stress associated with going to work for someone else every day.
