yes i know that men’s sports receive way more investment and visibility, but that’s not a complete answer to me. the nhl receives many more TV rights deals, higher ticket sales, sponsorships/ads, merch/licensing, and global media rights.

but WHY? bc we live in a society that values men’s interests, men’s competition, and men’s entertainment as more valuable, more legitimate, and more worthy of investment.

revenue doesn’t get made out of thin air. it follows what society decides matters. we can’t keep waiting for women’s leagues to magically generate NHL-level numbers without NHL-level support.

the PWHL is a new league being built more each year. support the league. buy the merch. talk about the players. profitability often follows attention and people showing up.
