Edmonton Permaculture Guild

Way back in 2011, following my graduation from a pretty incredible Permaculture Design Certification program with Verge Permaculture, I traveled to Jordan to attend the International permaculture Conference and Convergence. What an awe inspiring journey!

Almost 300 delegates from around the world gathered in Amman Jordan for a Conference featuring some of the most incredible people from around the world doing earth repair work.

It was an intense experience! Each presenter more profound than the one previous - as if that was even possible!

Bill Mollison talking about patterns made the hairs on my arms and legs rise up and gave me goosebumps! His words spoke to my very DNA!

The following week 278 of us went into the desert of Wadi Rum to hold our Convergence at a Bedouin Camp. We were treated like royalty. Day after day we heard of the work being conducted all around the world by our fellow Permaculture Practitioners. It lit me on fire.... Although how that is even possible after just recently completing My permaculture design certification program. I was still very much on a high from that experience.

We rode camels and saw the patterns of water across the sands. Water in the desert? Oh yes!

Our adventures continued to visit the Greening the desert site and I along with a small group traveled to the Westbank to visit Permaculture farms there.

Graduating with a PDC, This trip and the tools that were given to me through this certification, set me on a path to create my own Permaculture Company and 16 years of earth repair and community building 🌿💕
