On May 23, more than 1,000 Calgary students competed in the APEGA Science Olympics at the University of Calgary Olympic Oval. We had an incredible time hosting the event, but we're pretty sure the students had more fun! The Calgary Journal joined us to capture some of the excitement—check it out!

Nick Wong, P.Eng., grew up in Calgary with an array of interests, a love of math, and a burning need to understand. His passion and curiosity could have taken him down any number of career paths, but he found his true calling when he attended the APEGA Science Olympics in Grade 9. Now a professional engineer, Wong gives back as a volunteer at the very same Science Olympics events that started him on his path.
