Thinking doesn’t release emotion.
Feeling does.
Emotion is felt as sensation in the body—in the chest, the stomach, the throat, the armpits, the legs, or wherever it shows up for you.
When we stay in our heads, trying to explain, analyze, justify, or fix what we’re feeling, we often amplify the experience instead of resolving it. The mind creates more story, and the story creates more activation.
Healing happens when we gently turn our attention toward the sensation itself.
Can you feel the tightness?
Can you feel the ache?
Can you feel the heat, the pressure, the heaviness, the trembling?
Without needing to explain it.
When we sit with the feeling rather than the story, the body can begin to process and digest what was once indigestible. What has been held can start to move. What has been frozen can begin to soften. The indigestible can begin to digest.
The feeling is not the problem.
The feeling is often the pathway through.
