🎓 Celebrating Our 2026 Graduates 🎓

Every graduation story is different.
Some are built through years of research and discovery. Others through leadership, professional growth, and new experiences. What they all have in common is dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Today, we are proud to celebrate three outstanding members of our community:

🎓 Dr. Alireza Zohourian
Alireza Zohourian is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and a Cybersecurity Researcher at the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC). His main research is on the Internet of Things (IoT) Network Security, Cyber Deception Technologies, and Cyber Threat Attribution. He is currently conducting research on cyber threat attribution methodologies and frameworks to explore innovative ways for threat actor profiling and clustering.

Thesis:
His dissertation proposes an IoT security framework that automatically identifies IoT devices, builds behavioral profiles, and detects anomalies and intrusions in IoT networks.

🎓 Mahsa Yadegari, MBA
Mahsa completed her MBA in Management Analytics at the University of New Brunswick. Prior to her studies, she worked as a Senior Strategist in the fintech industry, where she gained extensive experience in business strategy, planning, and stakeholder engagement. As the President of the Graduate Management Student Society (GMSS), she played an active role in strengthening the student community . Today, she supports CIC's marketing and business development efforts, helping strengthen partnerships, increase engagement, and connect research with industry opportunities.

🎓 Dr. Amir Firouzi
Amir Firouzi is a Ph.D. graduate in Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick and Cybersecurity Researcher at the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity. His work focuses on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data engineering, and large-scale system architecture. His research and industry experience span system design, data pipelines, analytics platforms, machine learning, and cybersecurity solutions.

Thesis:
His research develops an adaptive intrusion detection framework for Industrial IoT (IIoT) environments that uses data analytics, device profiling, and machine learning to detect cyber threats and suspicious behavior in real time, helping organizations improve security and resilience.
