Hi folks,
Recently I have seen a lot of people wanting to replace base board heaters. Using 36 inch heaters to replace 72 inch or larger heaters.
Just because you have a heat pump.
Words of advice:
Just because you have a heat pump, electrical code/building code still requires adequate back up heat.
That means replacing heaters with the same wattage as being removed. The installing electrician that worked on the original build sized it for heating the house. DON’T change the sizing.
You’ll freeze this winter if the heat pump dies.
You’ve been warned :)

You have to like a clean job site. Main panel on the right. Automatic Generator transfer switch is in the middle and the panel on the left, are all the circuits available when there is a power interruption.

You can’t help when data lines get in the way. But you can make room for more circuits. Some of the old breakers had up to 3 circuits on a single breaker.
Let the renovations begin.

So today, I had a customer ask me if it was a good idea to own, or rent a Hot Water Tank.

Here is a thought,
If it costs $10 a month for your tank rental. And the taxes collected on that is $1.50/mth
If there is even only one million homes with rented tanks. The Government would collect $1,500,000.00 dollars a month in tax revenue.
