Today the CRA s starting to accept personal returns again.

We will start to contact our personal tax clients to sign their engagement letters. We are doing this in waves, so do not panic if you have not received your letter today.

As returns are filed we will reach out to the next group of clients.

If we haven’t sent you the letter, and you’re ready to start, just drop us an email. We will make sure you’re in the next phase.

Countdown to April 30 starts now.

As we roll past the middle of December, it is very clear that we are running out of time. When midnight rolls around on December 31, we will start getting asked the famous January questions:

- how did my business do?
- how much tax will I owe?

And January has that amplified because so many businesses choose December as a yearend.

Please take the time to review Karbon and see what is outstanding. RBC has stopped downloading statements (of course they have) so we’ve asked for many of you to fetch those for us. PLUS we have questions about the transactions for which we need clarification.

These are key steps to ensure that we can answer those January questions. And… I know my team…. They’ll work over the holiday if they see that you’ve sent something. So I’m asking…. Please send this week so that they can have turkey coma in peace too.
