Scotsdale Farm

Some hikers are not aware that Scotsdale Farm also extends over to the west side of Trafalgar Road. The main Bruce Trail runs through this rather swampy area connecting you to Hwy 7. Recently, evidence of a number of fires have been found in this section ( X ) Please contact us, and the folks at Bruce Trail Conservancy if you notice any unauthorised activities here, and for that matter any where else on the property. The Ontario Heritage Trust has a strict policy, No Fires, and No Overnight Caamping / Parking. Thanks for your help!

Although our Fall colours are not on full display, come October hopefully the trees will be ablaze with brilliant colours! October will also see another film production company moving on site for a planned shoot through October. Set up will begin on October 6th, and things will wrap up October 23rd, weather permitting! There will be 4 - 5 shoot days during this time, the majority of time will be spent around the barns, and Bennett House. Some days will be very busy, with limited access. There are no plans to film on the weekends, so other than security details, and lots of film equipment around all should be calm. Follow our updates here!

Lights, cameras, Action! Film day at Scotsdale beginning with a visit from our local sheriffs, seen passing through security into our "freshly" built compound! Things will be extremely busy today with limited access from Trafalgar Road. Access from the 8TH Line is highly recommended!

A local porcupine wanders out to see what all of the commotion is at Scotsdale Farm. A film production crew are setting things up today, and over the weekend for a planned shoot on Tues., the 26th. Things will be busier than usual this weekend, so please park in the designated areas, with 8th Line access a good idea. Have a great weekend, and remember to keep your dogs on leash! Mr Porcupine is not very forgiving!
