The New Wave Youth Drop-In

The Wave is helping out in the community! Evergreen Basic Needs is holding their annual outdoor sale on June 27th.

They would like help moving stock outside, setting up, and returning unsold items back to the store at the end. Setup is at 8:30 AM and tear down is at 2:30.

Hello Wave family and friends!

We have a few events coming up where we will be volunteering and are looking for a few more helping hands!

First, on Saturday, June 27 we will be helping out with the Evergreen Basic Needs (EBN) outdoor sale. Set up time is at 8:00 a.m. and take down usually starts around 2:30 or so.

Next we will be helping out at the Gimli Red River Métis Days on July 4 starting at 10am for set up. We will be helping with the kids games and it’s guaranteed to be a great time!

You can sign up to help for as much time as you’d like, any help at all is very appreciated! If you are able to help with either of these events please send us a DM!

Some summer events include gardening, Hinterland day trips and maybe a few movies. Keep an eye on our page!

And that’s a wrap on the after school program for this school year! A huge thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers, businesses and folks that helped make the 2025-2026 program a success!!

We would like to extend an invitation to all New Wave Youth Drop-In kids to join us (along with a parent or guardian) on Saturday June 6, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. for an afternoon of fun and nature play
at Hinterland Nature Cooperative (https://www.hinterlandnature.ca/groups).

Transportation is not provided, however, the Wave will pick up the cost of admission.

If you would like to join us, please print out the following form and bring it with you on June 6. If you do not have a printer, feel free to send us a DM with the information required 🙂

A fun time was had by all at our bowling outing yesterday!

Only a few more weeks until the 2025-2026 school year program comes to a close but still a lot of fun to be had in the time left!
