Very early in the morning.
Cold, quiet, with a light snowfall overnight.

This is the Black Bridge in Grand Forks — a piece of our town’s history.
Loved by locals, standing strong through generations.

I went as low as possible to give it the presence it deserves —
the way it must have felt to the people who built their lives around it.

I went out with an idea.
I stood there without expectations.
And the world did exactly what the photo says.

Nothing happened.
And somehow, that was everything.

No rush.
No noise.
Just the mountains breathing under light rain.

These are the moments I keep coming back for.
