Beds #72, #73, & #74

It’s been another hectic season in our personal lives. Between moving, renovations, surgery(s), kids, hockey, and the endless to-do lists that come with life. We’re all busy in one way or another, but I really appreciate when we are able to choose how we spend our time. With that being said, life sometimes has a way of catching us off guard, and we end up running in every direction- unable to slow down. We’re grateful, though, that The Sleep Mission had a quieter period, giving us the chance to catch-up in other areas of our life. ❤️

Just as life began to settle down, we had a request for beds and conveniently it came just days before I had surgery which will prevent us from doing beds for the next few months. Another example of God's perfect timing. This bed set up was another demonstration of the power of community and generosity. A few months ago Erin and Kelsey Hoffos donated a bunkbed that their son had grown out of. It ended up being a perfect match as we recieved a request for a bunkbed shortly afterward. The bunkbed went from one busy boy right onto the next! We are so grateful to Erin and Kelsey for their donation of the bunk bed complete with two mattresses. We also want to send a big thank you to Sherri and Alan Wenzel for their financial contribution, which covered the cost of three sets of bedding and pillows! Our kids play hands-on roles with each set-up by assembling parts of the bed frames at home and at times contributing some of their allowances. We make sure to prioritize time dedicated to teaching our children the value of giving and the joy of serving others- the foundation of the Christian faith. If they get one thing right in life, I hope it's their faith.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that we’ve recently partnered with a Canadian mattress company- GoodMorning.com that has generously committed to donating brand-new mattresses to The Sleep Mission. Their consistent, unconditional support speaks volumes about the integrity of their company, and the quality of the mattresses is outstanding—truly top-of-the-line comfort. We are so happy that these mattresses will provide such deserving children with the rest they need, and we know they will sleep soundly and peacefully. Thank you Goodmorning.com! Beds #66 & #67

We have such an amazing community of followers and supporters! When we first started The Sleep Mission we had envisioned our family using our time, our gifts, our talents, and our resources to assist the Children in our community with a safe place to sleep, a bed of their own. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that this would turn into a group, actually more like a community assisting these children. Together, we have helped almost 70 children in the Peace Country! We appreciate you all so much! God multiplies, God inspires, and God makes the impossible, possible when we come together to serve his purpose.
"The crowds asked him, 'What then should we do?' He answered, 'Whoever has two shirts must share with the one who has none, and whoever has food must do the same.'"

The generosity of two benevolent, caring women gave us the ability to supply this wonderful family with beds #66 & #67! Sara McIntyre donated this incredible bunk bed and Krista Umble donated the funds to supply the mattresses, bedding, and pillows for both of these beds and then some!
It is truly a blesssing that both of these kind hearted, selfless, and beautiful women work everyday with young children within Beaverlodge, Grande Prairie, and surrounding areas. They are such a blessing to the school districts of GPCSD & GPPSD. 💕
The never-ending supply of children's bibles were donated by another incredible woman, Laurie Sandboe. 🥰
