Spotted in full uniform (cleats and all), Trey Yesavage and Kazuma Okamoto led the charge to a nearby Wrigleyville coffee shop, joined by teammates Yohendrick Pinango, Spencer Miles, and Charles McAdoo, arms full of coffee trays for the vets.

This is one of MLB’s most well-known traditions. Chicago is the only city that does it, thanks to Wrigley Field being tucked right in the middle of a neighbourhood, making those coffee runs very public.

The rule? If you’re a rookie or visiting Wrigley for the first time, you’re on coffee duty. And the order? Usually massive. Like, 30 drinks deep massive.
Equal parts initiation and entertainment, this Wrigley ritual proves one thing: before you make it big in the league… you’ve gotta make the coffee run.
