🐾 Meet Abby, RVT! 🐾

Our next RVT of RVT Week is Abby! Abby joined our team in 2024 after graduating from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College. Abby also does our social media, which she greatly enjoys! (Let’s pretend I’m not posting this about myself right now 😂)

✨ Abby says:
🐾 My favourite part of being a RVT is being able to advocate and provide a voice for my patients that can’t use their own! I love seeing a case through from start to finish, and being able to give support to your pets. I enjoy anything that involves applying my technical skills, and looking at everything and anything under the microscope! 🔬💖

🐾 My favourite species to work with more so falls under the generalization of… anything senior, small and crusty. The crustier the better! Senior dogs have a special place in my heart, and I will always go above and beyond to provide them (and all patients) with the happiest visit possible! I recently lost my own senior dog, so hold them extra extra close in my heart 🤍

🐾 Working with animals has taught me the true meaning of taking your time and being patient. There is no system that works for each and every pet. You have to approach every visit differently, and take your time to make it a stress free experience. I feel lucky to work at a clinic that takes managing our patient’s stress so seriously! 💖

Thanks for all that you do, Abby! 🩺🐾💖

🐾 Meet Rachel, RVT! 🐾

First up of our RVT week is Rachel! Rachel joined the GAH team in 2023, and has been a complete asset ever since! Rachel is our Nutrition Lead, and provides our clients and team with all the nutrition help they could ever need!

✨ Rachel says:
🐾 One of my favourite parts of being an RVT is helping pet owners give their furry family members the best chance at living long, happy and healthy lives. I love being able to educate and support owners so they can feel confident in making the best decisions for their pets!

🐾 My favourite patients are definitely corgis! 💖 I may be a little biased because I have a 9 year old corgi of my own named Hurley.

🐾 Working with animals has taught me the importance of patience and flexibility. Every pet is different, and sometimes the best way to earn their trust is to slow down, meet them where they are, and go at their pace. Building that trust makes all the difference! 🐶💙

We are so lucky to have Rachel be a part of our team! Thank you for everything that you do, Rachel! 💙🐾
