When you decide your entire family needs a new wardrobe for your upcoming vacation… but you’re a beginner sewer 😅🧵🪡

This past fall, my mother in law gifted us a sewing machine and gave me a quick sewing lesson!

That was the first time I’ve touched a sewing machine since the 9th grade when we had home ec class 😅 (ps please tell me if this is still a thing? Do they still teach like cooking and sewing and woodworking in schools?)

I’ve the past few months I’ve made things like cutsie little name banners, tote bags, book sleeves, and Christmas stockings 🪡🧵

But I’ve never really made clothing!!

So I have a lot of learning to do and very little time 📈

In the last few weeks I’ve had to learn how to construct a garment, add button holes, sew a zipper and so much more 😅

But is this a safe space to admit that sewing is way easier than I thought it would be? Plus super fun? 🙌🏼
