This bathroom renovation project was completed for a very nice couple in Bedford. We tore out all the old tile in the bathroom. We found out they not only had motor down tile but also cement between every joist so we actually had to take all that away just to get started.

Being a full bathroom renovation, we worked on the lighting, heated floor, tile, electrical, the rough-in plumbing, added the shower fixtures that includes the shower and rain head system.

We also installed the glass doors which are divided into two. One part has a panel and the other part is a hinged glass door.

This project is where we did all the work but the design came from the owner of the home.

Here, you are looking at a project in itself. We had to find a really nice dry piece of pine that has a different live edge character to it. We sanded it down and created a mould. We then poured epoxy, sanded and buffed it 3 times over. We heated the top a little bit to force it to solidify quicker and this is how we got a bit of bubble action going on, on the inside. We wanted to have the wood look like it has been preserved in amber so we used an epoxy with that colour. All this was done for a special situation for a powder room which has a rounded wall and in a very confined space.

The sink bowl itself was actually imported from Bali.

We also used a matte black wall-mounted faucet which is now a more modern way to go as there’s no dirt or grime build up.

For this project, we actually did the whole house over again. We took the house down right to the studs, and re-framed most of it.

This is the master bedroom where we re-framed the ceiling to be vaulted and installed the window.

We cantilevered the patio by having 7 feet going into the house and fastened to the joists. Then we then had 3 feet extend out for the deck.
