Crumbs Bakehouse

I suppose a Super Sunday needs a Super Cake….. so I give you the Chocolate Tea Cake. In fact, I think it deserves a much fancier name. Any suggestions?

This one is tremendous. Dark chocolate sponge, topped with a hazelnut crumble, then fully coated in Gianduja, and dipped in a dark chocolate/hazelnut glaze. Finally, it’s topped with caramelized hazelnuts, and a ruby chocolate swirl.

WOWZA! Even I’m impressed - and I made it 😉

A rainy day calls for a little treat!

My first assignment as part of the KICA-École Ducasse Pastry Academy is a lovely carrot tea cake with vanilla bean cream cheese icing and topped with a candied carrot. The perfect accompaniment to a warm cup of tea.
