WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP FOR 8 SICK KITTENS!

We were contacted on behalf of a member of the public by their personal support worker about a situation that was described as having gotten out of hand, a group of 8 kittens (from 3 separate litters) and their mothers have been surrendered and many have been admitted for hospital care on July 7th due to the severity of their illness, and we urgently need your help.

PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM!

Severe upper respiratory illness has run rampant in this home, and combined with less than ideal food that was not as readily available as it should have been, these kitties have been suffering tremendously.

Group 1 : Tabby Mom, 2X Orange tabby boys, 2X Brown tabby girls.
We have 4 kittens who are approx. 12 weeks, but are undersized - each is heavily congested and not eating on their own, and 2 of the 4 have serious corneal ulcers, while all 4 are suffering from conjunctivitis. Without a miracle, 2 of these kittens are likely to require an eye removal surgery (one eye removal on each kitten) if they can be stabilized enough for these surgeries.
This group consists of 2 orange boys and 2 tabby girls, and their tabby mom who has been assessed, started on antibiotic treatment and eye treatments, and has been released to foster care for treatment and recovery.

Group 2 : Tortie Mom, 2X Orange boys, 1X Brown tabby girl.
We have a pair of 2 orange boys who are approx. 8 weeks old, and they, too are suffering with heavy congestion and terrible conjunctivitis, one kitten, with high ocular pressure and a slightly bulging eye is sure to require one eye to be removed. The second boy, with severe conjunctivitis and a small corneal ulcer on each of his eyes, is likely to be able to have his eyes saved if he responds well to treatment.
This group also contains a tabby girl, who has a large corneal ulcer on one eye that is incredibly painful, but we may be able to save her eye with treatment.
This group did eat some wet food when offered, but struggled and had difficulty consuming enough due to congestion.
The tortie Mom of this group has been assessed, started on antibiotic treatment, eye treatments, and has been released to foster care for treatment and recovery.
**Both of the male kittens have faced significant decline with his eye since admittance, with ocular pressure soaring and/or worsening of corneal ulcers, and eye removal surgery has become emergent for both of these boys. **

Group 3 : Calico Mom, 1X Grey boy
We have an approx. 7 week old grey fluffy boy, the lone survivor from his litter, and one of his eyes has ruptured, and was caked in thick eye discharge and infection. His other eye is painfully inflamed, but is likely to be salvageable with treatment. This kitten will require surgery to remove the remains of his ruptured eye as soon as he is strong enough to undergo the procedure.
This little soul began to eat on his own once his pain was controlled.
This kitten had a sibling, but she passed away this morning, no longer able to fight.
The calico Mom has also been admitted for hospital care, sick, emaciated and all but skin and bones, she is weak, but so starving that she is eating on her own despite heavy nasal discharge that had caked over her nostrils forcing her to mouth breathe.
This Momma, who is approx. 2 years old and has been pregnant or nursing constantly since she her first heat cycle and has already produced 5 litters - she will have her own post.

WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR HOSPITAL AND SURGICAL CARE!

We have several little ones, and one very fragile Momma in hospital care. With blood testing, IV fluids, pain control, apatite stimulants, antibiotics, multiple eye medications to treat infection and to manage pain, serum treatments, we are urgently in need of assistance to provide the care needed to help these kitties to recover their strength and for those to have eye surgeries who need them.
