This is how we’re assessing your Chronic Urticaria Quality of Life (CUQ2oL) to ensure we fully understand how your condition affects your daily life
The CUQ2oL is a validated tool that helps us measure the impact of chronic urticaria on your quality of life through six key domains:
1. Functioning: Assessing how urticaria impacts your daily activities.
2. Sleep: Evaluating disturbances to your sleep quality due to symptoms.
3. Itching/Embarrassment: Understanding the emotional effects of itching and social embarrassment.
4. Mental Status: Gauging how your condition affects your mental well-being.
5. Swelling/Eating: Looking at how urticaria impacts eating habits and any related swelling.
6. Limits Looks: Exploring concerns about appearance and self-image.
Severity Levels:
- Mild: 0-15
- Moderate: 16-50
- Severe: >50
- MCID (Minimally Clinically Important Difference): 3-15
What is MCID?
It refers to the smallest change in your Chronic Urticaria Quality of Life (CUQ2oL) score that indicates a meaningful difference in how you feel. In this case, an MCID of 3-15 means that if your score changes by at least 3 points, it may reflect a significant improvement or worsening in your quality of life.
This means that whether you notice a small improvement or a change for the worse, those feelings are valid and important. Our goal is to help you track these changes so we can better understand your experience and work together towards improving your quality of life.
By assessing these areas, we can tailor your treatment plan to better meet your unique needs and improve your overall well-being. Your voice matters, and together, we can work towards a better quality of life! 💙✨
