I am currently watching Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, and for anyone who hasn’t seen it, I highly recommend it.

The series explores his journey after learning about his increased genetic risk for Alzheimer’s disease, following his father’s diagnosis. It asks an important question: if we know what may be coming, is there anything we can do now to improve our chances of living healthier, longer lives?

This topic really hits home for me. As an adopted person, I have no access to my genetic medical history. For many people, family history can provide clues about what may lie ahead. For me, it feels more like, “Surprise, you have…”

Anyone who knows me knows I tend to lead a pretty stressful life (which is ironic considering I’m a massage therapist who spends her days helping other people relax!). Watching this series has made me think more critically about stress, sleep, exercise, recovery, and the small daily choices that can impact our long-term health.

I know I’ll be watching and rewatching this series because there is so much valuable information packed into every episode. Each time I watch, I seem to take away something new.

I’ve already recommended it to many people, and I’ll continue to do so. If you’re interested in health, longevity, resilience, or simply learning more about what our bodies and minds are capable of, it’s definitely worth your time.
