It’s almost that time to “Spring Forward”! Are you prepared to change your clocks?

On March 8, Ontario is returning to daylight saving time, which means our clocks will move ahead one hour.

It's important to be aware of how this time-change can impact you behind the wheel – and how to navigate the adjustment period safely. Here are a few tips to help you with the transition:
• Prepare for darker mornings: Daylight will arrive later in the morning; ensure all headlights, taillights, and indicators are functional and clean to maximize your visibility.
• Combat sun glare: As sunrises shift, be prepared for intense morning glare. Keep your windshield clean inside and out and use a sun visor or polarized sunglasses.
• Defensive driving: Increase your following distance and reduce speed, as other drivers may be tired or distracted. Drowsy driving can be just as dangerous as impaired driving, so stay alert, and watch for any irregular driving patterns on the road.
