This week we host RMC Ontario Round 1. It will be a busy week, please note, no arrive and drive racing this weekend!

It’s shaping up to be a busy week at Hamilton Karting Complex. With next weekend’s RMC Ontario event just around the corner, we are expecting strong turnouts for this weekend’s HRKC Club Race as many drivers get in final prep laps before Round 1.

Please also note that Canadian Mini Indy schedules for both Saturday and Sunday have been doubled up this weekend, as there will be no CMI racing next weekend during the RMC Ontario event.

We’ve secured discounted rates at two major hotels located close to the track to help make your race weekend more affordable and convenient.

For teams looking for catering, we have made arrangements with a local catering company that will provide delivery directly to the track for teams that order in advance.

We have our first Trophy Cup race of the year for our Arrive & Drive (Canadian Mini Indy) Members. The trophy cup challenge is always a highlight of the year.

HRKC is off to Goodwood this week for the Inter-Club Challenge but we are open for Practice Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, book online.

This week, the karting community lost one of its very best.

For more than 15 years, Dave Marritt was a part of the Hamilton Regional Kart Club family — first as a proud dad and mechanic supporting his son, and later as one of the true pillars of our paddock.

To know Dave was to know kindness, compassion, and generosity. It never mattered what team you raced for or what colours you wore — if you needed help, Dave was there. Whether you were chasing speed, fighting a mechanical issue, or simply needed another set of hands, Mr. Marritt was always ready and willing to help.

Equipped with his Diet Coke and his favourite snack bar cheeseburger, Dave was truly at home at Hamilton. His presence in the paddock brought comfort, laughter, and support to so many people over the years.

The loss to the karting community, and especially to HRKC, is immense. Dave represented everything great about grassroots motorsport — community, mentorship, and selflessness.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Marritt family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest easy, Dave. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Orientation is over and our Arrive and Drive racing league (Canadian Mini Indy) gets going with Race Week 1!

No HRKC Race this week but we do have Own Kart practice available on Wednesday and Sunday, book online!

We have a full slate of racing at the Hamilton Karting Complex in May, highlighted by the Victoria Cup for arrive and Drive and RMC Ontario for Own Kart racers and complimented by a full schedule of League and Club racing!

Week 2 of Canadian Mini Indy (Arrive & Drive) Orientation continues for Schedules 5–8, plus plenty of track time with Owner Kart Practice running Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and HRKC Race 2 on Sunday.
