This past weekend, we conducted off-ice and on-ice skill and fitness testing at the South Central Triple A (SCTA) Bantam All Star Showcase. This was our third year.

Overall it's a great experience for these young aspiring athletes. They are all focused and eager to learn how to get to the next level with their Major Junior draft just a year away.

Kudos to the SCTA for continuing to include our testing Combine as part of the weekend. They understand that those players, when drafted next year, will be going through the exact testing. Players will come to their Draft Combine with some ease and confidence through having experienced the testing.

As well, having the players' baseline scores in the database, OHL teams can compare progress over the year to have a better, overall player picture, with an understanding of their commitment to training.

Players can share their results with Skating and Strength Coaches to identify weaknesses and train those specific areas, can come to one of our Open Combines and re-test to measure progress over time, and, compare results to CHL benchmarks to ensure they are on the right path to success.
