HOMES Model Railway Club - HO Model Engineers Society

Today was BYOT Day* at HOMES, and a number of members seem to have had a good Christmas!

We started the morning with an un-boxing of a brand new Royal Hudson #1239. After a couple of warm-up laps of the full club layout, the Hudson was hooked up to a long CPR passenger train in staging. The happy new owner spent a couple of hours traversing the layout, complete with station stops and meets with other trans.

Early morning of an event day at HOMES: Doors not open yet; early arriving members doing some last-minute prep. This is the view from the dispatcher's cabin, looking down Hunter St toward the tunnel. The room door is 45' straight ahead of you; DS cabin, lounge and staging are in another room behind you.

Cost is $5 per person, and the guidebook is your ticket. Booklets are NOW available at local model railway shops: Dundas Valley Hobby, Paris Junction Hobbies, Credit Valley Railway Co., and Tiny Railroads (in their new Niagara Falls location).

On tour day, you can also get your booklet at the club (460 Wentworth St N) from 9am (when it might even be this empty).
