I’m Phoenix — a chainmaille artist, poet, and lifelong healer with roots in English, Irish, and Norse tradition.

After decades as a pharmacist & first aid instructor along with being a published poet, I now forge wearable art that blends ancient craft with modern magic — each piece an echo of myth, strength, and transformation.

My work draws from Celtic knots, Norse runes, and the wild elegance of fantasy realms — dragons, phoenixes, and forgotten goddesses. You’ll find steel, copper, magnets, lore-bound packaging, and designs that feel like armor or talismans.

Based in the mountains of British Columbia, I craft each piece by hand — sometimes under moonlight, sometimes to the hum of cats purring nearby.

Whether you wear chainmaille as adornment, protection, or a small act of rebellion, I hope it brings you power.

Cuddles & Trails Pet Services isn’t just about feeding and walking — it’s about creating genuine connections with pets and peace of mind for their owners. We bring a personal, hands-on approach to every visit, treating each animal as if they were our own. Plus, with both Shawn and I certified in Pet First Aid through the Canadian Red Cross, safety is always at the top of our list.

How did this business start?
It started with a simple truth — we’ve always been “animal people.” Between raising our own cats (including our mischievous Sphynx, Pig) and helping friends and family care for their pets, we realized there was a real need in Kamloops for reliable, friendly, and flexible pet care. What began as a passion quickly grew into a licensed and insured business that serves our community with heart.

I’m Kelly, a born-and-raised Canadian and long-time Kamloops local. When I’m not out walking pups or snuggling cats, I work as a Nursing Unit Assistant in the labor and delivery unit at Royal Inland Hospital. I know the value of trust, compassion, and attention to detail — and I bring that same energy to caring for pets. My husband Shawn and I run Cuddles & Trails together, and as a fellow Kamloops resident, I’m proud to support other local businesses, be involved in our community, and keep tails wagging all over town."
