Guided by contemporary dancer and somatic practitioner Vanessa Woulfe, this embodied experience invites you to slow down, tune in, and explore creative expression through gentle, accessible movement practices. Together, we’ll journey through Rajni Perera’s exhibition Futures, connecting to the work in a way that’s intuitive, sensory, and deeply personal.

Open to artists, dreamers, and the creatively curious — no dance experience needed.

Tracing Connection: A participatory experience rooted in connection, care, and collective creativity.

In this collaborative experience, participants are invited to trace parts of their own or each others bodies to create a large-scale community collage — a living artwork that visually weaves us together. Through guided movement, reflection, and mark-making, we explore how our bodies hold stories, memories, and one another.

Facilitated by visual artist Jennii Mavery and dancer and somatic practitioner Vanessa Woulfe, this workshop blends embodied practice with visual art-making in a way that is accessible, thoughtful, and deeply connective.

Created in celebration of International Women’s Day, the workshop honors the ways women’s bodies — in community and in intimate spaces — have carried, nurtured, resisted, and supported others across generations.

We’ve been having the time of our lives! We are a welcoming group that embraces curiosity, kindness and creativity. We play with choreographic dance tools and big emotions and turn them into performances. We value messy process, over polished performance.

No one turned away for lack of funds! Kids welcome. Be an audience member that witnesses the magic, or join in when you feel comfortable. It is an interactive open “rehearsal”. Everyone participates at their own comfort level. Watching is participating too.
