Katlyn's Cakes

Hey everyone, although I have not posted in some time I am still kicking! As things start to open up a little more I will be looking at taking on a small amount of orders and will keep you posted as to when that will begin. Until then, here is a little succulent cake done for a special 40th birthday- vanilla with vanilla cream filling!

Hey everyone, I thought a picture of this cake might bring something a little different to your news feeds during this time. Although I am taking limited (none during the COVID-19 crisis) cakes, I did find some time to make my mom a 70th birthday cake.

This Neapolitan cake has 8 layers of vanilla cake with alternating layers of whipped chocolate ganache and strawberry mousse with fresh diced strawberries. A chocolate drip adorned with chocolate covered strawberries and fresh Ge**er daisies.

I love a challenge and this cake was one of the most fun cakes I’ve ever made and probably my favorite cake yet. This gravity defying, Uma from the Descendants inspired cake was made for Olivia’s 8th birthday, it is chocolate cake with raspberry filling and raspberry buttercream.
