Ztech Electric was contracted to design and install a comprehensive electrical service network. The system encompasses overhead and underground wiring to a distribution shack - powering a ranch worker shack, including lighting and outlets for a winch and prime system. The system considers pump draw elevation changes and operates a 3-phase 230/460 VAC motor with a VFD using single-phase power. This setup includes a remote control station near the draw pump for variable speed control to regulate water flow and pressure.

ZTECH was asked to correct the power factor at the Woodco F.P mill in Barriere, B.C. Starting with a 250kvaR used unit that we refurbished and put into service, but with additional mill loading over the years, we had to come back and build a smaller unit 3 x 10kvar step units to keep those electrical bills affordable.

ZTECH won the bid to provide system design, system controls, supply, and construction for a highly respected construction firm, Sonoran Resource Management and Vision Quest Advisors. Together, we brought ideas to life for a remote First Nations village called Gitanyow. Team Z was assigned to provide support for the reconstruction of the Gilbert Smith Headrig, chip system, debarker system, Drop sort optimizing line, and various smaller projects at the mill in collaboration with Spark industries.

Ztech undertook the rebuilding of a cedar shake and post & beam mill for Community Forrest. The project entailed a 13.8 kv drop to three-phase 250kva 600 volt delta-delta service. Furthermore, a 7-section MCC with hardwire controls and safety proximity interlocks around the shake saws was installed. Another satisfied industrial customer.
