That's all you've gotta say to any change, big or small, once the build is underway, even this close to the finish. The change-order process was set the day we signed, so handling it now is just the standard step, not some end-of-project scramble.⁠

A change order isn't a penalty or red tape. It's a written record, so we all mean the same thing by what's changing. No room for one of us to remember it differently three months later. No underdelivering for the client, and no final payment disputes because the original scope of work didn't get fulfilled.⁠

We don't do a handshake version on some changes and paperwork on others. Every change runs the same way, because it's the same process that protects the client and the builder.⁠
