Yesterday’s internet was paid for by clicks. Tomorrow’s will be powered by cycles.
Imagine this…
If this code snippet were embedded into youtube.com, every person watching a video — about 160 million people at any given moment — would instantly become part of a DCP Compute Group.
That’s 160 million compute nodes, humming in parallel, doing video transcoding, computational science, accelerating AI training, solving simulations, or optimizing medical schedules — all in the background while you watch cat videos or the latest music drop.
YouTube, Vimeo, The New York Times, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and any other online community can use DCP to replace web advertising revenue with web compute revenue.
The power of crowd computing, unlocked by attention.

We actually did save that much, and we're saving that much and more each year by not having to maintain a python version of our javascript library.
Our end users can leverage our dcp-client.js library directly in their python projects thanks to pythonmonkey. Any other company paying and struggling to maintain duplicate python and js versions of their libraries can do the same.
This is in an incredibly powerful and open-source tool.

Demand for AI and research computing capacity is grow exponentially while Canada's national computing platform continues to underserve our academic research communities. Commercial (and foreign) Cloud providers are absurdly expensive.
Announcing 💻 compute.for(ontario) 💻 , an initiative that unlocks abundant, free compute and matching grants for research computing at ontario academic institutions.
What would you compute with 10,000 cores? 7,000,000 cores?
