Happy Transformational Tuesdays everyone! For this week, we have a series of TEDx Talks surrounding the topic of veterans and mental health. The speakers include Peter Tuerk (Veterans Affairs PTSD program, Associate Professor of Psychiatry), James Simons (Army Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, Health Technology Student) and Dr. Richard Doss (Former Su***de Prevention Program Manager for the US Army Department of Defence, Clinical Psychologist). The topics include: PTSD research/treatment, su***de prevention and awareness and personal stories surrounding mental illness struggles. Tune in to listen and learn about a variety of perspectives surrounding mental health and gain awareness on the prevalence of mental illness in the veterans population.
