I should post more often.

Another event in the books. Thank you for such a great event :)

Below was my strategy to attack the race. Keep moving even if slow. Don't spend so much energy that I can't recover.

Ski erg:

Don't come out of the gate hot. Manage the pace.

Sled push:

Easy on the sled. If you push as hard as you can, your other stations suffer.

Sled pull:

When on the sled pull, being organized saves time. Use the time moving the rope to recover between pulls.

Burpee Broad Jumps:

I manage my energy better on short jumps better than long ones. The goal is to keep moving so I use one leg at a time to get up.

Rowing Machine:

Rows, find your happy pace. It's 1000 meters, so don't try to sprint it.

Farmers Carry:

Farmers carry is farmers carry. If at any time i am fighting for grip, it's time.tomset them down.  I broke it down into one lap sets. Also, I feel much more control grabbing the kettle bell by the corner.

Walking Lunges:

I am still having hip issues, so my lunges aint great. But using your hands for an extra push off the bottom is very useful. I'll refine that technique some more.

Wall balls:

100 walls balls complete. Broke it down into 10 sets of 10. Going to work on sets of 15 to 20 reps for the rest of the season. It is real easy to blow up doing wallballs. I need to work on my capicity.

2024 Chilly Half.

As far as runs go, I've looked better. I didn't go into this expecting a PR. I wasn't expecting to fall apart either. I'm in the middle of marathon training and planned to treat this as my weekly long run. I knew my left heel was acting up at the starting line. I figured I could just maintain a slow pace and I'll be good. That did not happen. By the seventh km, the suffering was in full effect. I gritted my teeth and grinded out the next 14. I just hope I didn't f**k up my marathon plans. I'm taking a few days off and will ease back into training. S**t happens. Part of the game. I'll regroup and return.
