Happy Friday! Today’s is all about plants!⠀
1. The Sequoia sempervirens or coast redwood is known as the world’s tallest-growing tree. Located along the Pacific Coast of the United States, the coast redwood can reach heights of greater than 300 feet!⠀
2. The title of fastest-growing woody plant goes to bamboo, which can grow as much as 35 inches in a single day.⠀
3. A single strawberry holds around 200 seeds. In contrast to all other fruits, strawberries bear their seeds on the outside.⠀
4. There are over 200,000 plant species identified, over 80,000 species of edible plants, and 70,000 plants used to fulfill medicinal purposes.⠀
