“Janna, how do you do it all?”

Truthfully… I don’t.

And this picture probably says it better than I ever could.

If you came to my house today, you’d be greeted by my Christmas JOY mat.

Yes… on June 8th. 😂

And believe it or not, this is the longest I’ve ever left Christmas decor out.

I think people sometimes assume that because I love home, organization, and creating beautiful spaces, I have it all together.

And social media can make it look that way.

The truth is, I do love those things.

I do want the JOY mat gone and my spring mat out.

I do want the flowers I bought this weekend planted.

I do want everything beautiful and perfectly put together. I really do.

But life is full right now.

Over the next couple of months, we already have 55-65 mortgage closings on the board, plus files in the approval process, pre-approvals we’re working through, and new inquiries coming in every day.

We’re in the middle of a kitchen renovation and two bathroom renovations.

I’ve got birthdays to celebrate, barbecues and picnics ahead, events for 50+ people, soup kitchens to serve at, and all the little family moments I don’t want to miss.

I want to be emotionally available for my kids.

I want to be present with Craig.

I want to soak up every moment of being a Nonna.

And somehow, I want to do all of that while working 10, 12, sometimes 15-hour days and making it look effortless.

But life doesn’t always work that way.

And maybe that’s what this JOY mat is reminding me.

Not that I’m failing.

Not that I’m behind.

But that I can’t do everything at once.

And maybe that’s okay.

Maybe empty planters and a Christmas mat in June don’t represent neglect.

Maybe they represent a full life.

A beautiful life.

A busy life.

A blessed life.

Because behind every person who seems to “have it all together” is usually someone simply trying to love people well, serve people well, and do the best they can with the time they’ve been given.

So for now, the JOY mat stays.

And honestly…

Maybe that’s fitting.

Because perfect isn’t the goal.

Joy is.

And I’m still learning that. ❤️
